Honestly, I'd agree and say that if the rx-7 is your favorite car then I'd stick with that. I own both a '91 twin turbo and an '88 rx-7 turbo II which is on its' second motor. My z32 on the other hand has 200,500 miles and is still running strong and everything is stock including the turbo's. The rx-7 is a great car and it's quicker than my Z right now but it's not stock at all. The rotary has a lot of potential but they do have a tendency to need a rebuild quite often and can get expensive. Overall I prefer my Z but I've never delt with a FD so I can't really compare those two. Definitely learn to work on the Z yourself I've saved quite a bit of money not having to go to a shop, but I'd say the Z is more reliable but definitely harder to work on and they tend to be cheaper than FD's as well. In the end it's up to you and what your personal preforance is...but for me it's definitely the Z.
